Buffalo Triathlon Club Youth Training Clinic: The goal of the Buffalo Youth Triathlon Club is to promote health and fitness to ALL kids through the sport of Triathlon. This training clinic will introduce Buffalo Triathlon Club members ages 7-19 to the sport of triathlon and prepare these athletes for the Buffalo Triathlon Club Kid's Multisport Race Series.

Location: Erie Community College Burt Flickinger Athletic Center, 21 Oak Street , Buffalo , New York 14203

Hours: 10:00AM-2:00PM

Athlete Profile: Buffalo Triathlon Club members ages 7-19 (parents are encouraged to stay for the clinic).

Athlete Must Bring: Running Shoes, Towel, Swim Goggles*, Swim Cap (optional), Swimsuit and Workout Clothing.
*a limited number of TYR T-72 Petite (for smaller female and youth faces) goggles will be on sale for $4.00 at the clinic site).

Format: Athletes are grouped according to age and ability to form groups of 8-10 athletes. With ability and age appropriate groups, each child is sure to get plenty of individual attention with triathlon specific skill development and techniques.

Fees: Free for all Buffalo Triathlon Club members ages 7-19.

Program Description: We are pleased to be offering our Youth Triathlon Training Clinic for the youth of Buffalo and Western New York . Young athletes will get all of the information needed to participate successfully in the Buffalo Triathlon Club Kid's Multisport Race Series. It is our goal to help these young athletes become more confident in their athletic abilities as well as have fun in the process!  By showing triathlon as a lifestyle, we hope to impact young people to be active, caring, and goal oriented individuals. When it comes time to “race”, every athlete will have the confidence to successfully complete their goals. We stress the importance of participation as winning. As each young triathlete crosses the finish line, the smile on his/her face will tell it all!

10:00-10:15 Arrival and Check-in  
10:15-10:30 Warm-up and Stretching  
10:30-11:00 Swim Instruction  
11:00-12:00 Swim Training  
12:00-12:30 Transitions and Snack (provided)  
12:30-1:00 Run Instruction  
1:00-1:30 Run Training  
1:30-2:00 Cooldown, Debrief, and Light Lunch (provided)
